Frances Amrani want local people to get a fair say on the future of their homes - not to be pushed into transfer by the council

Conservative plans to sell the homes of dozen of Teversham residents to a private landlord are costing local taxpayers tens of thousands of pounds.

The Conservative-run District Council wants to sell council tenants homes but the law requires them to have a ballot first. But local Tories are trying to railroad the vote by spending tens of thousands of pounds on a DVD to persuade tenants to go along with their plans.

  • Why are the Conservatives spending tens of thousands of pounds of our taxes on spin?

In Cambridge, the Lib Dems gave city tenants a fair say and the residents voted clearly against the privatisation plan.
